The inaugural Great Wide Open conference was held in downtown Atlanta. This well organized conference had over 600 attendees and 6 presentation tracks over 2 days. Most of the attendees were local to Atlanta which speaks to the breadth of the IT talent in the Atlanta area.

As usual, the FreeBSD booth was well attended. Most of the people who dropped by had heard of FreeNAS and many were using it. Some had questions about the future of ZFS and most had not heard of the features built into PC-BSD that take advantage of ZFS.

We had a drawing for 2 LSI MegaRAID controllers and the lucky winners were M. Fisher and G. Liverman. In addition, $115 in donations was raised for the FreeBSD Foundation.
