Directors and Executives

Kris Moore

  • Director of PC-BSD® Software Development

    Kris Moore is the founder and lead developer of the PC-BSD project, which aims to bring FreeBSD's stability and security to a desktop environment. Kris graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with his degree in Business Information Systems, and prior to working at iXsystems spent almost a decade supporting and developing software for UNIX systems. Kris is also a FreeBSD ports committer.

Austin Stewart

  • Director of Production

    Austin received his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification and completed coursework for the Cisco Certified Network Engineer program. Austin has experience working in Data, Cable, and Wiring at Cupertino Electric prior to joining the iXsystems team. Austin has nearly 10 years' experience in server integration and manufacturing.

Denise Ebery

  • Director of Marketing

    Prior to joining iXsystems, Denise worked in the Developer Marketing Group at Palmsource. Denise graduated from Harvard University with highest honors and earned her MBA from the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business with a concentration in Marketing Management. Denise is a member of the FreeBSD Marketing Team, and she staffs the FreeBSD Project booth at various national and international tradeshows.

Brett Davis

  • Director of Sales and Business Development

    Passionate about building lasting business relationships through integrity and customer service, Brett and the Sales Team focus on delivering Customer-Centric Solution Design to each and every iXsystems client. A graduate with high honors from the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in Communications, Brett has more than a decade of experience in the High Tech Industry. Prior to joining the iXsystems team, he excelled in his Sales role for Mentor Corporation.

Matthew Olander

  • Chief Technology Officer

    Matt has 20 years of enterprise networking and systems analysis experience and is responsible for the over-all technical vision of the company. A long time BSD advocate, Matt is a member of the FreeBSD Project's Marketing and Public Relations teams. Matt was previously Director of IT at BSDi. He is on the BSD Certification Board, and is the Project Director of PC-BSD®.

Michael Lauth

  • Chief Executive Officer

    Michael brings a wealth of experience in sales and management to the iXsystems team. Formerly the Vice President of Sales at BSDi, Michael was responsible for sales operations worldwide. In his role as CEO, Michael provides a strong vision for the company's future. Michael studied Economics at UC Berkeley.
