iXsystems at Linuxfest Northwest 2013

This past weekend, iXsystems attended another successful Linuxfest Northwest conference in Bellingham, Washington. From the moment we crossed state borders, Washington’s endless span of greenery welcomed us. We have faithfully attended this show for over seven years, and every time we are warmly received by the diverse and friendly community at Bellingham Technical College.

FreeNAS Featured in BSD Magazine April 2013

This month’s issue of BSD Magazine highlights FreeNAS, the free and open source embedded NAS operating system developed by iXsystems. iX employees Dru Lavigne, John Hixson, Mark VonFange, and Annie Zhang contributed articles, and the featured interview is with Alfred Perlstein (iXsystems VP of Software Engineering and FreeNAS Project Leader).

2013 Late Spring Tradeshows

Spring is teeming full of events this year. With boundless energy, iXsystems looks ahead to the lineup of spring tradeshows. Starting with April, we will have schwag at BSD Day in Naples, Italy, then have representation from several members of the iXsystems team at NAB, Write the Docs, and Linuxfest Northwest. In May, we’ll check out Interop, reunite with some old friends at BSDCan, and then head back south to Texas Linuxfest. We look forward to seeing familiar faces everywhere we go!

iXsystems at SCALE 11x

Three days, three hundred photos, and twenty-one cups of coffee later, iXsystems is finished with yet another conference. It’s been an amazing weekend at SCALE 11x and we enjoyed every moment of it. As our employees head back home, I’d like to recap our experience at SCALE this year.
