iXsystems is proud to introduce the iX-Neutron Series Servers
The iX-Neutron series servers feature the latest Intel CPU's
based on the next-generation microarchitecture (Nehalem), which
represents the next step in intelligent performance, automated energy
efficiency, and flexible virtualization.
With the Intel 5500 Tylersburg Xeon processor, you can:
Get faster performance with the power of next-generation Intel
microarchitecture, which automatically increases processor frequency and utilizes hyper-threading when needed.
Reduce energy use with Intel Intelligent Power Technology, which puts
CPU and memory into an optimal power state while still delivering the
performance you need.
Virtualize different generations of Intel Xeon processors within the
same pool to deliver increased performance and flexibility during
high-use periods and impressive energy savings during low-use
periods.
The Intel Xeon processor 5500 series includes an integrated memory
controller supporting high-speed, three-channel DDR3 memory. DDR3
enables higher capacity, higher performance, and lower power than
DDR2-based systems.
The iX-Neutron series servers are offered in a 4-Bay SAS/SATA 1U factor
(iX-N1204), 8-Bay SAS/SATA 2U form factor (iX-N2280), and a 16-Bay
SAS/SATA 3U form factor (iX-N3216). The iX-N1204 can use up to 96GB DDR3
memory, and the iX-N2280 and the iX-N3216 can use up to 144GB DDR3
memory. All configurations feature 80%+ high-efficiency redundant power
supplies, DVD and integrated remote management (IPMI 2.0IP-KVM with
dedicated LAN).
