The Gemini Twin Server Class was developed as part of our "Open Source Hardware Design" process. Open Source Hardware design refers to our carefully crafted server product line, designed and manufactured to ensure operating system and cross-platform compatibility, while providing best in class performance and reliability for any business requirement. The iX-12X4 utilizes a VMWare® Ready certified motherboard for flexible virtualization.

Remote Management

iXsystems remote server management (based on the IPMI standard) consists of hardware and software components that allow system administrators to securely manage, monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair servers from a remote location, any place, any time.

IPMI provides many benefits, including:

  • Save time and money by configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting servers remotely, conserving on-site resources and saving time.
  • Manage distributed servers from a remote console: a dedicated network card or shared onboard LAN port gives you full access to power management, remote media redirection, and remote KVM access.
  • Better Disaster recovery: Access a server even after a server failure, power outage, or connection interruption.
  • Simple Interface: Control the server from any java-enabled web browser, even if the server is down.
