The AX-2406 server series includes four twelve-core AMD Opteron™ 6100 series processors. With a staggering 48 processing cores and 512GB DDR3 memory with 32 DIMM sockets, the AX-2406 delivers incredible performance within a 2U chassis. The AX-2406 series offers 6 drive bays for 3.5" SAS/SATA hot-swappable hard drives, as well. The AMD Opteron™ 6100 is the industry's first twelve-core x86 processor. This processor features Quad Channel Memory, doubling the memory of older Opteron™ generations. The AX-2406 delivers amazing I/O performance with PCI-Express 2.0 and AMD's HyperTransport™ 3.0 Technology. The AX-2406 server series includes AMD Virtualization™ 2.0, which enables devices to be assigned directly to virtual machines, increases security for VMs, and boosts I/O performance within virtual machines. The AX-2406 delivers amazing performance with a low cost to own and maintain. Featuring a high-efficiency power supply and components, the AX-2406 reduces energy costs. Remote Management

iXsystems remote server management (based on the IPMI standard) consists of hardware and software components that allow system administrators to securely manage, monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair servers from a remote location, any place, any time.
