Features

The AX-2208R-I server series features dual six-core AMD Opteron™ 2000 series processors and performance increases due to the shared L3 cache (6 MB), HyperTransport™ (HT3) link technology, and DDR2 memory (up to 800 MHz) support. Thanks to AMD's HT3 technology, processors may communicate with I/O devices at a rate of up to 6.4GT/s, greatly boosting I/O performance. In addition, the AX-1204R-I is further enhanced with integrated Dual Dynamic Power Management (Split Power Plane), Dual HT (Hyper Transport) Links between CPUs, and high efficiency VRM designs. The twelve-core AX-2208R-I  server series design allows it to delivers better power and cost savings than the more powerful AX2208.
