iXsystems' AX-1204 server series showcases dual AMD Opteron™ 6100 Series processors. Each AMD Opteron™ 6100 x86 processor provides twelve or eight cores for a maximum of 24 processing cores in a 1U form factor. The AX-1204 features a maximum of 256GB DDR3 memory within 16 DIMM sockets. AX-1204 servers lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by combining the latest AMD technologies with energy-efficient power supplies and components. Utilizing  AMD's HyperTransport™ 3.0 Technology (HT3), the AX-1204 increases I/O performance up to a maximum of 6.4GT/s! AMD Virualization™ 2.0 enables devices to be assigned directly to virtual machines, boosts the I/O performance in virtual machines, and increases security by isolating the VM address.

Remote Management

iXsystems remote server management (based on the IPMI standard) consists of hardware and software components that allow system administrators to securely manage, monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair servers from a remote location, any place, any time.

IPMI provides many benefits, including:

  • Save time and money by configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting servers remotely, conserving on-site resources and saving time.
  • Manage distributed servers from a remote console: a dedicated network card or shared onboard LAN port gives you full access to power management, remote media redirection, and remote KVM access.
  • Better Disaster recovery: Access a server even after a server failure, power outage, or connection interruption.
  • Simple Interface: Control the server from any java-enabled web browser, even if the server is down.
