Prestigious award given out yearly to company with highest growth in Intel® server product sales.

iXsystems topped off its biggest revenue-producing year in history by taking home the Intel® Server Growth Award for 2008.  iXsystems beat out a field of nearly 300 companies with an 82% increase in Intel® server sales over the previous year. On March 16, 2009, President and CEO Michael Lauth took the stage at the 2009 Intel Solutions Summit to accept the prestigious award on behalf of iXsystems.

Release provides Dtrace support, extends work on multi-processor scalability

The FreeBSD Project announced this week the release of FreeBSD Version 7.1. FreeBSD 7.1 provides Dtrace support as well as userland and driver updates, and extends ongoing work on multi-processor scalability. The release includes other improvements that enhance the functionality of FreeBSD 7.0 and introduces some new features.

Release Offers Most Significant Introduction of New Technologies Since FreeBSD 5.0

The FreeBSD Project announced today the release of FreeBSD Version 7.0. FreeBSD 7.0 promises to be the release system administrators have long been waiting for, and includes numerous improvements for enhanced networking, security, multimedia, and storage. FreeBSD 7.0 offers the first official implementation of the highly-scalable ZFS file system outside of Solaris. Also significant in this release are SMP and kernel scheduler improvements that enhance performance and the introduction of "gvirstor", the FreeBSD GEOM Storage Virtualization Layer.
