iXsystems, a rackmount server provider, recently completed a migration of 50 servers to the FreeBSD operating system for Host Department, a large web hosting and hosting reseller company.

In an effort to show the DragonFly BSD project some support, iXsystems has donated an Intel blade server to the open source operating system group. The blade system will be used for testing and improving network-related applications both in-kernel and in userland.

Utilizing the 3ware Escalade 9500S Serial ATA RAID Adapter, iXsystems delivers a 4 Terabyte Storage Server running the popular FreeBSD operating system.

iXsystems will be the sole provider for network infrastructure equipment and Information Technology services and support for the counter-terrorism university based in San Jose, California.

The February issue of Linux Journal features iXsystems AstroFlowGuard security appliance. The in-depth review covers the benefits and features of this innovative and affordable fireall and bandwidth management device. On December 17th, iXsystems CTO Matt Olander and FreeBSD Project clustering expert Brooks Davis appeared on TechTV, a major technology network, for a segment entitled Building a Beowulf Cluster . The segment appeared on The Screen Savers show, which is one of TechTV's most popular programs. TechTV is currently available in nearly 40 million homes in the United States and distributes content to more than 70 countries.

The segment appeared on The Screen Savers show, which is one of TechTV's most popular programs.

On Friday, March 14th, 2003, iXsystems, Inc.'s Chief Technology Officer, Matt Olander, and FreeBSD core-team member and release engineer, FreeBSD Mall's VP of Engineering, Murray Stokely were invited to be guests for a FreeBSD segment during a live showing of 'The Screen Savers' on TechTV, a national technology network.

OffMyServer announced today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase the iXsystem's (formerly BSDi) general server business. OffMyServer will immediately begin support of the iXsystems installed base and operations. OffMyServer will focus on integrating iXsystems products with its existing managed hosting services and has plans to introduce several server appliances and advanced systems offerings.

On Monday July the 22nd 2002 iXsystems team members Matt Olander, Michael Lauth, and Seth Kingsley were invited to attend a live showing of 'The Screen Savers' on Tech TV, a national technology network. The Executive Producer met them in the lobby and asked "did anyone contact you about being on the show?" Matt stated they had not, and the producer said "we may introduce you at the end of the show and have a few minutes to discuss FreeBSD with the hosts Leo Leporte and Patrick Norton so be ready." Fortunately, Matt Olander, Michael Lauth, and Daemonoligist Seth Kingsley had come prepared with FreeBSD collectibles from FreeBSDMall to give out to the staff.
