Bahahahaha! I asked "Bard" the same question, and it gave me the same response how the GPU
does support hardware encoding.
I kept pressing it further, and even informing it that Nvidia's own web site does not support the claim.
It agreed me with, but still insists that it's "possible" the GPU supports hardware encoding.
I asked it for sources to its claim.
It gave me a link to a "forum post" that supports the claim.
Here's the forum post, of which it is based its premise:
Hi so may I know the best full settings for my PC. It always turns out choppy and laggy when I show recording but not when I play its all smooth. GTX 560 TI 1GB DDR5 8GB RAM 1TB HDD AMD ATHLON X4 630 2.8GHz Processor

A user is troubleshooting OBS, and they list their CPU (ATHLON X4 630) and GPU (
GTX 560). Another user tells them that their CPU isn't fast enough for encoding. The OP asks if overclocking the the CPU will suffice. The other user suggests:
@simos.sigma: I'm afraid to say, you just got "Barded!"
