The iX-Apollo Extreme Series ships with PC-BSD 7.x Pre-Installed and Pre-Configured. PC-BSD is a complete desktop operating system with a robust feature set including KDE 4.2.2. It offers the stability and security that only a BSD-based operating system can bring, while at the same time providing a comfortable user experience, allowing you to get the most out of your computing experience. PC-BSD is inherently virus-resistant, so you can spend less time working to block or fix viruses or spyware and immerse yourself in the world of stable, open-source operating systems (Dual-Boot option available)

The IX-Apollo Extreme Series is designed to unleash the power of the all new Intel® Core™ i7 processors with support for up to eight logical cores of raw CPU processing power and triple channel DDR3 memory.
